Copy All Text

Support

Copy a whole web page with a single tap.

No touching and holding to fix the selection. Just open it from Safari's extensions. If something isn't working, see "If copying doesn't work" below. If that doesn't help, write to support@beatapper.com.

Set it up

Installing it alone won't put it in Safari's menu. You turn the extension on once.

  1. Open Settings and go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions (on iOS 18, Settings → Safari → Extensions)
  2. Turn on "Copy All Text"
  3. Open a page in Safari, tap "Page Menu" to the left of the URL in the address bar, then choose "Copy All Text". On iOS 18 the same spot is "AA". If it isn't in the list, look inside "Extensions"
  4. The first time, you'll be asked. Choose "Allow on This Website" and copying starts

How to copy

What gets copied

It copies every piece of text the page renders.

Not just what's on screen. Text you have to scroll to reach, text cut off inside its box, and text shortened with "…" — all of it gets copied. There are no settings. Just open it and tap.

What it can copy

What it can't copy

Password fields and one-time-code fields are not copied. While "Show password" has them in plain text, they may be copied. The privacy policy covers this in detail.

If copying doesn't work

Nothing happens when I open it
Because of how iOS works, opening the extension alone won't copy. Tap "Copy Whole Page" once.
It asks to allow access
That's asking whether it may read the page. Choose "Allow on This Website" and copying starts. The permission applies only to that site.
Embedded frames aren't included
Parts embedded from other sites (video players, social posts, maps, and so on) can't be copied. It's an iOS restriction, and there's no way around it.
Collapsed sections aren't included
The contents of closed accordions and tabs are not copied. Open them in Safari, then copy again.
The bottom of the page is missing
Some pages only build their content as you scroll. Scroll to the bottom once, then copy.
It said it couldn't copy
When that happens, the extension is already showing the text it read. Touch and hold that text and choose "Copy". There's no need to reselect anything on the Safari page.
