Fit Tether

Privacy Policy

Fit Tether has no network code.

It never contacts a server, and there is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDK. The only thing it talks to is your Galaxy Fit3, over Bluetooth Low Energy. Last updated: 14 September 2026.

What the app reads, and where it goes

DataWhyWhere it goes
Bluetooth To find, pair with and talk to the band. Your band, over BLE.
Calendar events (this week) To show them on the band's calendar tile. The band receives each event's title, notes, location, start and end time, time zone, calendar name, colour and reminder offsets. Your band, over BLE. Optional — off until you turn it on.
Media library (now playing) To show the current track's title and artist on the band's media tile. Your band, over BLE. Optional — off until you turn it on.
Your own settings in this app Which band to reconnect to (its Bluetooth identifier and name), the auto-reconnect switch, the band's display language, the calendar and media switches, and whether a tip was ever left. Stored on this iPhone only.

Nothing above is collected by the developer, and nothing leaves your iPhone except over the direct Bluetooth link to your own band. Calendar and media access are each behind a switch in the app and are not requested until you turn that switch on. Turning a switch off stops the app sending that data.

What is stored

Only the handful of small settings in the last row of the table, in this app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes them. The app keeps no database and no copy of your calendar or music.

The in-app activity log is a diagnostic view of the Bluetooth traffic, held in memory for the current session only, and written in English regardless of your language so it can be pasted into a bug report. The same lines also go to the iOS system log, where they stay on your device under the usual system limits.

⚠️ The log includes the first 48 bytes of each packet in hexadecimal, so a calendar packet can carry part of an event's text in that form. Please read it before pasting it into a bug report. Nothing is ever uploaded anywhere.

Permissions

Bluetooth
Required. The app is useless without it.
Calendars (full access)
Optional. iOS 17's "add only" level cannot read events, so full access is the only level that works for showing them.
Media & Apple Music
Optional, and only for the track title shown on the band. The playback buttons work without it.

The app also declares the bluetooth-central and audio background modes: the first to reconnect to the band after you walk away and come back, the second so the band's "find my phone" tile can ring this iPhone while the app is in the background.

Payments

If you leave a tip, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. The developer receives no payment details. A tip unlocks nothing — every feature of the app works without it.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
